Hello my dear readers, its long time since I ventured into the topics of general governance and politics!

In Ahmedabad earlier it was the “river front project”, but, then now it seems to be very stale now. The cost is overshot and the budget haywire.

I am happy about the development activities like flyovers, BRTS and pipelines! But I think, its like having all the food items in a plate which does not have space. The government should have worked out some plan whereby the road laying, pipelines, BRTS and the Flyover work is carried out in a phased or stagewise manner! Now every road is dug up in major part of the Ahmedabad city. Even the municipality created space by demolishing the illegal structures or the structures without permissions for creating more road space and land! But then these roads too are full now!

If you see, Ahmedabad is coming with new buildings, malls, residential apartments/flats and bunglows! I will confidently say here that if this kind of concrete and cement work continues, there will be only tremendous heat and hot summers in Ahmedabad! Atleast the AUDA and AMC plus the government must immediately sit down and plan properly for a Greener Ahmedabad and Gujarat! I think, there must be law or rules whereby at every kilometer there must be a “green zone” and every apartment and new structures have some green plantations! The highways which are newly developed must have now trees and green plantations.

There has been a sudden rise in the two wheelers and four wheelers (yeah! Easy finance schemes of banks and FI’s)! is there some control measures in place!

If you see Ahmedabad, you will find broad roads and suddenly narrow raods! So at one place the traffic is smooth but soon at the end its gets jam/ choked up!

Yes, if you visit Ahmedabad and if you have a two wheeler or four wheeler, drive safely! The traffic rules seem to have gone haywire! I had learnt that I have watch for the right side traffic (As per India rules of right hand driving)! But now, you see suddenly two wheeler as well four wheeler suddenly over taking you from the left! The new auto rickshaws have taken to higher speeds! The new owners of new vehicles seem to have a young blood to overtake and speed up from the left when you also have someone overtaking you from your right side, which means get crushed or jump! Chaos!!

I think Gujarat Government must once again look into the town planning activities and see the maps of Gujarat for a proper future of Gujarat! There needs to be calculation of the population plus the houses and the vehicles that will take up the land spaces! There needs to be some control measures on these developmental and infrastructure activities immediately!

Even BRTS can be looked into once again, there is also some chaos due to BRTS in Delhi as per newspapers!

I believe that only Gujarat Government has the might to curb and control the population rise issues! Gujarat is always a state known for “samruddhi” (Growth and development) and a place known for “Sweet people” which is very true as I have seen! But I think the people and populace need to be under control now! Government needs to once again sit down and bring some control measures for a shining future! Some kind of discipline in traffic, behaviours, law & order, is required.

Chief Minister Sir, I request you to look into various Government Departments and Policy decisions once again, as you do always! Please sir!! I once again thank you for making Gujarat shine!
