Apoorva Sahodararhal (song translated)

the song has some beautiful philosophy; Song translated as per my understanding of tamil words, hope stands correct! The above song is a very beautiful one from the double role movie “Apoorva Sahodararhal” with main role by Kamal Hasan! The same was dubbed in hindi under the name “appu-raja”! this is a story of two brothers when one becomes a mechanic with good built up and personality; the other does not grow in height and works in a circus as clown! This clown loves the daughter of the manager of the circus where he works, but the girl loves someone else; he sings this song in the engagement function of that girl!

'aboorva sagodharargal'

(sung by SPBalasubraminium-music by Illairraja- lyrics by Vaali)

Unnai ninachen paattu padichen

I thought of you, read this song,

O Gold! Knowledge like that of Pure Gold! (Pure Golden Knowledge)

I thought of me, I smiled

The sky has to cry

For the land to smile

The same is with the lives of some

I realized

I thought of you, read this song,

O Gold! Knowledge like that of Pure Gold! (Pure Golden Knowledge)

I thought of me, I smiled

The desire that took over me

Why should I blame anyone

In rain I went to sell Salt

In windy conditions I went to sell flour

I suffer due to my wrong calculations

O Gold! Knowledge like that of Pure Gold! (Pure Golden Knowledge)

Now I am enlightened by this suffering

O Gold! Knowledge like that of Pure Gold! (Pure Golden Knowledge)

You gave me the good knowledge (realizations)

I thank you a lot

I am

I thought of you, read this song,

O Gold! Knowledge like that of Pure Gold! (Pure Golden Knowledge)

I thought of me, I smiled

I tried to build a fort in my two eyes,

Its full of holes now,

Only those who have yogam (luck) get a good garden, (with yogam the seed can be a good nallavanam (good garden))

I dance till I can (the ballet/ scene)

O Gold! Knowledge like that of Pure Gold! (Pure Golden Knowledge)

Once dance (life) over, will run away

O Gold! Knowledge like that of Pure Gold! (Pure Golden Knowledge)

You gave me the good knowledge (realizations)

I thank you a lot

I am

I thought of you, read this song,

O Gold! Knowledge like that of Pure Gold! (Pure Golden Knowledge)

I thought of me, I smiled
